First came the "Kri Kri" starred print rappers that was used to sow all manner of dresses, gowns, jackets, bags, hand accessories, shoes, you name it!...it was everywhere....then the ankara and pattern mixes. After it's onslaught on the masses, both locally and beyond, the African inspired fashion never looked back, new trends kept cropping up, styles and materials...Ankara, Bubba, Kente, Judge...you name it!
Fashion, proudly African and truly beautiful...almost Perfect!

Currently trending is the velvet material tied on top of the Bubba or Igbo blouse along with a head gear, the blouse could be a Lacey or just plain Ankara....actually, any material can be used, but the velvet gives it a richer look. This is totally chic and modern, a nice union of the traditional and modern attire. It is normally accessorized with heavily beaded neck pieces and clutch bags...The rappers are usually strictly ankle or just below the knee length! A very good example of what I am talking about are in the pictures below!
